Your Home in Colors

The place that we live in represents the way we want our lives to be. For instance, opting for a condo instead of settling for luxury homes has a meaning. Meanwhile, the arrangement of the furniture inside every room in a house also has a meaning. Actually, everything in our home reflects the way we see life – even our wall colors.

A number of interior designers would agree that one should not paint every wall in the same color. Not only that your home will look dull and boring but it will also affect the way the sunlight bounces on your divisions. Lights hit each wall in a different way. With this, you have to adjust the shade in every room through using different kinds of wall colors.

Certain colors help the residents create a mood in a certain home area. Some colors like the following amazingly do some effects that people don’t know:

  1. Yellow – The sun, the brightness of a sunflower and the shine that comes from the glimmer of the sunset sea – all of which creates a shade that makes you feel an innocent happiness. Yellow, when painted in a room, creates a different kind of energy that makes one set a goal and concentrate on it. The color helps enhance intelligence and mental agility that can help you clarify your thoughts.
  2. Green – A new beginning, the nature, the color that blends with the natural living organisms on earth – all of which creates a feeling of positivity and fresh start. The color green makes one feel a genuine passion towards other that allows positive conversations to happen. This earthy color is also believed to attract wealth for the residents.
  3. Black – Also known as the color of forever, black lets you perceive about things related to masculinity and mystery. The definite color imposes elegance and formality, creating a sense of orderliness to an area. With its definite color, black amazingly creates calming senses to a person as well.
  4. Blue – To paint blue is to be dynamic. The color relates to efficiency and orderliness. It helps you integrate the big picture with the little picture through creating an effect of clarity. Anyone who sets an eye on a shade of blue will surely feel calm and relax.
  5. Orange – Just like yellow, the forever vibrant color orange takes you to a different kind of positive energy. The bright color will make you feel younger because it encourages happiness. The color is also associated with laughter and celebration as well as dispelling darkness and allowing us to see the brighter side of life.

There is a reason why your bedroom walls are painted with blue coats or your living room with green color. The definition of the colors stated and their effect to the human senses will help you in deciding which color is the best to choose for your rooms.

Tips on How to Decorate a Condominium Unit

Living in a condominium may not be exactly the same as living in a house. A condominium is very much ideal for people who live independently and who are always on the go, which is often the lifestyle of someone who lives in the city.

A condo is usually smaller in size when compared to our regular houses. The rooms are much limited and it is not usual to have excess space for other functions. Even if this is the case with condominiums, there are many ways to maximize every corner to make it more comfortable and convenient to live in. If you are thinking of moving into a condo unit, here are some tips that you can take note of to make the most of that limited space of yours.

Choose the right color for your room. Remember that the color of a room can greatly affect the way it appears. A white or cream color can always make your room look bigger and brighter than it really is. To add depth and personality to the room, you can add small furniture with a striking color to strengthen the effect of the trick.

Pick out multi-purpose furniture. There is nothing more practical than choosing furniture that can have multiple functions. A good example of this furniture is a sofa bed. Instead of having a single bed, why not opt for a sofa bed? With a few flips or folds and you are all set to either sit down or have a good sleep. This is ideal, especially if your unit is a studio type, where there is not much space to arrange everything else. Most of the new furniture designs today are multifunctional, without compromising quality and design.

Consider placing mirrors in the room.   Mirrors are effective in creating illusions. Placing them on the proper places and areas of your condo unit can instantly make your space appear bigger and wider. Mirrors are also very effective in reflecting both artificial and natural light, which aids in making your condo unit look brighter whether it is daytime or night time.

With a well-planned design and correct furniture, any condominium unit will definitely appear more inviting to live in. Having a small space can be stifling and uncomfortable, so it is best if you could maximize all the resources that you have in order to make your condo space look bigger and more conventional.

Why is a Condo Perfect for You?

Buying a home is definitely one of the hardest decisions that we will ever make in our life. Considering the comfort that we will get and the time that we will spend in our precious nook, many people still wonder if it is a good decision to buy a condominium. Many opinions would surely sprout in the world wide web when you search for condos. Some would say that a condo is not a good investment. But for a practical person, thinking about a condominium as an investment is like thinking of selling the place that you are staying in right now – the place where you dwell and snug and find comfort.

However, there will always be some considerations for you to think of if you would really like to buy a condominium. We are pretty sure that we all want to make our money’s worth its value. Opting for a condo instead of a house will only be a good idea if you are:

  1. Independent. Condominiums are made for people who are pro-active and independent. We would not say that housing a family in a condo is illogical. But the point is, a condominium is a small private space intended for a small number of people. A condo can also work for you if you are newlyweds and you want to enjoy your times as couples first before creating a bigger family.
  2. A city-lover. Most condominiums are built in the heart of the city. The reason for such is for the people who live in the private luxurious place to enjoy the different establishments that you can only find in cities. Condominiums are rightfully built to be near restaurants, shopping malls, parks and other areas where people would definitely enjoy.
  3. A busy person. Owning a house doesn’t only mean that you have a place to stay in. More often than not, owning a house means having more responsibilities – maintaining the interiors and exteriors of your place, keeping the grasses and plants healthy, and other things that a busy person couldn’t really find time to attend to. If you are the type of person who doesn’t have the time to bother for things that I have mentioned, then owning a condo is perfect for you. Developers ask for condominium owners a certain fee called maintenance fee for your lawns to be mowed, windows to be cleaned, etc. Furthermore, this kind of private abode requires little or no responsibility for outdoor maintenance. Many condominium developers hire professional landscapers to maintain the exterior of the building.
  4. A practical person. Yes, you have read this right. Condominium owners are practical people. Instead of renting a small apartment, opting for a flat is a better move. In addition to that, the number of people who realize that their house is too big for them is getting relatively high. Downsizing into condominiums is a good move.
  5. A newbie. If you are a first time real estate buyer, we would recommend that you try first to live in a condo. Why? Sometimes, purchasing a house can be too overwhelming. The fees and the maintenance were way difficult to juggle than what you have expected. Living in a condo can be a preparation for you before you buy your own house.

Here are some of the condos that we have in our listing:

This is our condominium in Newport Lofts

And this one is in One Queensridge Place.

Owning your own condominium is a big decision. However, you will feel safer and more secured if you know that you have the best real estate agents with you.

Moving In or Moving Out?

Whether you are moving in with your partner or moving out of your parent’s house, the thought of packing will make you feel both exciting and tiring. The packing will surely excite you because you will get to see some of your stuff that you haven’t seen or used for a while. Memories will be brought back and reminiscing would be hard to avoid! Kidding aside, packing will also make you feel tired. Just the thought of packing is already tiring; what more if you already have to do it! However, give it your best shot to try making your packing fun and easy. Consider these tips before you start the task:

  1. Make an inventory. Be sure to jot down all the things that you will need. Make your list detailed and easy to understand. Besides, nobody wants to be confused with their own handwriting when they have already got a handful of stuff to arrange in their hands. A better tip under this tip is that: prepare a list of the things that you want to have in the specific areas of your new home. For example, in your bedroom, jot down the things that you would like to keep, like: your most comfortable bed sheet, your pillow that has been with you since you were a baby, your eye mask, etc. For your kitchen: your favourite wok that could hold both few and many dished ingredients, your favourite mug, etc. Prepare a list that contains the areas of your new house and under that list, jot down all the things that you want to put in that area.
  2. Prepare your “moving equipment.” You will surely need lots of boxes to contain all your stuff. Be sure that you have enough boxes plus news papers, bubble wrap, tape, scissors and other stuff that will help keep your things secured and safe.
  3. Pack your things. The ultimate challenge starts here. With this, you can choose one of the two tips: pack according to the material or pack according to the place. The first one, pack according to material, suggests that you should pack your things according to the material that they are made from. For example, your mirror should be packed together with your mugs and other glass wares. On the other hand, packing according to the place, suggests that your mirror should be with your hair dryer, comb, etc. Simply because they all belong in the comfort room. Both approaches make sense. The choice is really up to you. Another thing to note: remember that you do not need to bring with you all of your things. The things that you do not need or use can be donated to charity. Besides, buying new pieces for your new house feels even more exciting.
  4. Label your boxes. Label each of your boxes on every side and on the top. This way, you wouldn’t have a hard time classifying each boxes and it would be easier for you to know where you will put them. Do not also forget to indicate which side is up.
  5. Pack your first two boxes. This is good to note: pack your first two boxes considering the first activity that you plan to do on your first day. However, the most practical things to pack on your first two boxes are your kitchenware and your bedroom materials. The reason why I suggest that you pack your kitchenware first is that, for you to be able to eat properly. The whole process of moving out or moving in is really tiring. Be sure that you will have a decent meal after all the muscle work. Secondly, you have to pack your bedroom materials first because it would be better for you if you can sleep comfortably on your first night. Your first night in your new will be the premise if you can comfortably stay in your new place on the next few days.
  6. Unpack box by box. Do not pack all at once. Having an unpleasant surrounding where your socks and shampoo and hairbrush and mugs are all in the same spot will make you feel stressed and tired. The sight can make you feel exasperated even if you don’t feel physically tired yet. Keep things in place and be organized.
  7. Bring with you a set of screw. In case you need something to repair, it’s good to know that you have a reliable set of screw with you.

I am quite sure that you won’t be able to replicate your old house. The challenging part after the moving and unpacking is the act of assuring yourself that you will be comfortable in your new place. When picking for a perfect place to move in, be sure that your choice will provide you great comfort and security. Besides, you will stay in that place for a long time. Make sure that your stay will be pleasant and fun.

Here are some pictures of the places which I find peaceful and pleasant to stay at:

To Garden or Not To Garden?

The inner portion of a property solely belongs to you and your family. You can do whatever you wish to do without the interference of anyone or anything outside. Consider however the scenario of a home with perfectly aligned furniture, dusted vases and polished floors: everything seems perfect. With everything inside the house seamless, you now focus your attention to that raw portion of the house placed outside, the garden.

Giving Personalities to Your Home!

People usually think that owning a luxury home is having an all-in package deal, which is true. With this in mind, homebuyers would simply move in after the purchase and continue to live like nothing significant happened. They see, accept, and live on a house they barely know. Moving houses, what others don’t seem to understand, is also synonymous to shifting lives. Our home reflects every single person residing in it, collectively speaking.

Everything You Need to Know About Real Estate – The Bundle of Rights

Owning a real estate property is one of the many rights of the American people. However, many people fail to understand that beneath the rights that we all enjoy lies a more complex set of rules and laws. There are no reasons to be offended though because these laws secure that the interest of many is heavier and much valued than the interest of one.

To Sell or Not To Sell?

One of the biggest conflicts that civilians face right now in the industry of real estate is deciding whether buying a new house and selling their own at the same time is actually a good idea. Normally, buying OR selling takes about two to three months; if, however, you’re a apart of a real estate chain (you being the owner plus the real estate agent plus the appraiser etc.) the process is understandably longer than expected.

Burglary 101

Burglary isn't a sprouting crime in the world. It has long been recognized that people even from ancient civilizations would creep into their neighbor’s house in the dark of the night looking for something to steal. Eras may come and go, and the standard of living and wealth may have changed over time but why would the nature of man change so easily? Would the burglary of ancient times be completely removed to suite our modern day living? The answer is no: little has changed since the dawn of man and until this very day, whether you like it or not, your home is as prone to burglary as any other homes in the past.

Defining Luxury in Real Estate

Nowadays, there is almost a price tag on everything. Money now serves as a currency that separates practicality to luxury and this just expands the choice more. In a 2012 report, London, Sydney, New York, Paris and Hong Kong ranked as the top cities for luxury living.

As the country continues to thrive in the financial blow it received a few years back, the number of luxury goods continues to climb signaling the that era of luxury real estate is far from over. Defined generally as real estate market that targets the highest socio-economic consumers, it varies mainly on the consumer’s taste (e.g. suburban, condominium, beach resort and etc.).

But what really sets luxury real estate apart from others is to able to cater people with just high standards of living regardless of their socio-economic standing! There are numerous elegant and sophisticated houses that suits to the consumers’ standards rather than the other way around. You read more about that and more on what really sets luxury estate apart.
